Back In GA... For Now

We made it back home at around 7 o'clock last night. It was a short weekend, with LOTS of "quality" time in the car. The drive up was totally uneventful... no bad weather, no heavy traffic, no road construction. We made it to my parent's house at about 3:30 Friday. We celebrated Christmas with my parents and siblings and their families on Saturday. It was chaotic at times (which should be expected with 4 little ones all under 4), but I think everyone had a good day. I may post some pictures later after I get them developed. Sunday was a relaxing day spent putting a puzzle together, watching a movie, and eating anything that was left from the day before. Then we headed home on Monday. The trip was slower goings as traffic was MUCH heavier. I think half the country was headed to Disney World!! Now we have 3 days at home and we're off to South Carolina to do Christmas with Brian's family. The travel time for that trip should only be about 5-6 hours.

Indiana... Here We Come

We are leaving EARLY tomorrow morning to drive to Indiana to celebrate Christmas with my family. I am NOT a morning person!!! But I guess I will have to sacrifice in order to get through Atlanta before the traffic gets too bad (although it is always bad!). MapQuest says it is a 10 hour and 59 minute trip. Course that is if you always go the speed limit and don't stop for gas or bathroom breaks. We are praying for good weather. Last year Brian drove it by himself in a blizzard which added an extra 4 hours onto his trip. UGH!! Boy, do I wish we could fly. But when you fly standby, it is impossible to fly around the holidays. Airline perks aren't always what they're cracked up to be. :o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Brian's a Master

or something like that. Brian just completed his master's degree at Oklahoma State University through their distance education program. If he were actually in Oklahoma, he would be walking down to receive his diploma tonight at commencement. Instead he has to wait for it come in the mail. I think he ended up with at GPA of about 3.8. That's pretty good, considering his first semester of undergrad he didn't even make a 1.0 and was put on the dean's list. Not the good dean's list... but the one where they tell you to get your act together or you will be asked/forced to leave the university. He's come a long way since then (that was before me). It appears he got his act together. I'll only take part of the credit for that. :o) I'm glad he is finally finished and that he completed this goal he set for himself. Now I don't have to proofread his papers anymore. Let's just hope that he doesn't decide to go for his doctorate now! :o)

Really Bad Pictures

It's hard to get a good picture during the week as it is dark by the time I get out of work and to the house. Maybe Saturday I can get one in the daylight. :o)

Down 3.2 Pounds

That's what they said last night at Weight Watchers. It was better than I expected. Although I had Mexican for lunch today and probably already blew it for this week. :o(

Back on the Wagon

I rejoined Weight Watchers last night. I started over. I was up just 3 pounds from when I quit going nearly two months ago. I still have my very attainable goal of one pound per week, but now I have to make up nearly 5 pounds from slacking. If I hadn't gained those 3 pounds back, I'd still be almost on track. Hopefully I will have a good first week back.

Tonight's the season finale of The Biggest Loser. I think Matt will probably win. He still needed to lose the most when he left the ranch. I'm still kind of rooting for Suzy though cause she's the only woman, and women usually have a harder time losing weight than men. No matter who wins the money, they all did tremendously well!!

Our house has siding now (on three sides). I forgot to take the camera, so I don't have a new picture. I'm hoping the brick will go on soon now that the rain has stopped. I'll post a picture then. It didn't pass the county's pre-insulation inspection last week. I'm not sure what all needs to be corrected, but hopefully it won't take too long and then it can be re-inspected. We're still shooting for mid-January for a close date.

We got most of our Christmas shopping done over the weekend. WooHoo!! We haven't done any decorating though. I'm not even sure where our decorations are. We probably won't do much, if anything, since we need to be packing up instead. We will be in Indiana over the Christmas weekend and in South Carolina over New Years anyway. We can enjoy our familys' decorations instead. It's less work that way! :o)

You Can Take a Cat Out of His Comfort Zone...

but I wouldn't recommend it. Saturday was our annual visit to the vet for shots and check-ups which proved once again how completely different our cats are from each other. Victoria (Vicki) on the left in the picture is a ditz. She's so carefree and completely oblivious to the world. She's first to get her check-up. She weighs in at about 9 pounds, lets the doctor check her teeth and stomach and gets her booster shot all without even a hiss or growl. Next comes Calvin. He's always been a bit on the nervous side. He was growling a little in the waiting room at the other cats while still in his carrier. He comes out right away, and the vet tech scoops him up to take him in the back to get weighed. Almost immediately we hear an unhappy cat sound from the back so we open the door. Calvin's on the floor hissing and growling and the vet tech is looking a little uneasy. Brian's able get him on the scale where he weighs in at 18 pounds!! We go back in the room. Calvin's mad at Brian. He's mad at me. He's just plain mad! In walks the vet. Calvin wants nothing to do with any of us. The vet and vet tech are not looking like they really want to grab him, so Brian graciously volunteers to hold him down. A decision he would later regret. Did I mention that those 18 pounds are primarily muscle? Brian's got Calvin pinned on the table as best he can. The vet tech's attempting with no luck to cover his head with a towel so he couldn't see what's going on (Calvin, not Brian). And the vet's trying to get a shot in his butt. Calvin's now possessed or something and starts biting Brian's hands and arm. The vet finally gets the shot in and Brian lets go. Brian's dripping blood, but the others remain unscathed. The vet bandages Brian's war wounds and we get out of there. Fast forward to home. Calvin comes out of his carrier. He's a completely different cat. He's purring and wants to be petted and picked up. Talk about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!! I think next year we will have to give him a tranquilizer or find a vet who makes house calls.

We Have a Front Door...

And windows...
And a roof...
And HVAC...
And a fireplace...
All in 2 days!!

Our estimated closing date is December 20th. Even as fast as it is moving along, I don't think that it feasible. That's only a month away!! We are actually hoping for around the 21st of January. It would be a nice birthday present for Brian to be able to move on his birthday. :o)

He's a Bruiser

Here's Lucas...

My sister went to see the new bundle last night, and passed a few pictures along to me. I won't be able to meet Lucas until Brian and I go to Indiana for Christmas. Looks like he has his dad's nose and his mom's hair. Click here to see the hospital picture.

Here's my mom and her four grandchildren. The two on the left are Scott and Megan and they belong to my sister. The two on the right are Kaleb and Lucas and they belong to my brother.

This one's a little blurry, but still sweet...

Here is proud daddy Dewayne with Lucas.

Cooking School

Last night I went to the Taste of Home Cooking School. I have subscribed to the magazine for a while now, and I always look to see if the school will be held anywhere close to where I am. It never has been... until now. It comes to town here every year. I guess I've been living in the wrong places. It was a lot of fun. The demonstrator made 11 different recipes (see picture below), and lots of door prizes were awarded (including the finished food). I didn't win anything. I never do.

I'm an Aunt... Again

Lucas Alan was born at 6:43 this morning. He is the second son of Dewayne (my brother) & Sarah. He weighed in at 9 lbs 2 oz and is 21-1/2” long. Mother and baby are doing fine, and big brother Kaleb is excited to have someone to play with.

No pictures yet as my brother has yet to step into this era and get a digital camera. My sister has been sent on that mission tonight, so I should have some photos to share tomorrow.

I am now an aunt to four with 3 nephews and a niece!

We Have Walls!

Well, sort of. The framing has begun. This first floor is close to being done, and I can only hope they are working on the second at this very moment. Everything appears to be going smoothly, but what do I know! Brian is much easier to live with now. He was growing more and more impatient each day. Now that we can see progress, the impatience has subsided for the time being. :o) Saturday evening we went to a get-together with some of the people I work with. We played a game called The Battle of the Sexes. You divide up men against women (I guess that was kind of obvious), and then the women are asked questions men should know (e.g. What would you use a phillips head for?) and the men are asked questions women should know (e.g. Which do you apply first - lip liner or lipstick?) It was a lot of fun. Brian thought it was unfair because quite a few of the women's questions were sports related and women know those things because they watch with their men. I agreed that it was unfair but only because women just know more than men. :o) I think I may put it on my Christmas list.

Time Change

This standard time stuff is for the birds! By the time I leave work at 5:00 it's already getting dark. Sure it's lighter in the morning, but I'd much rather have my daylight at the end of the day. I'm not a morning person anyway.

Have I mentioned yet that I'm a Mary Kay consultant? Be sure to click on the link to the left to get your free sample of the TimeWise Microdermabrasion. It's good stuff! Also, let me know if you ever need to order anything. That's my plug. It's as pushy as I get. :o)

My friend Kristy had a beautiful, big, baby boy last Wednesday. His name is Ethan and they are home and doing great. My sister-in-law is scheduled to be induced next Tuesday. So hopefully in less than a week, I'll have a new nephew. (All these babies and I'm so far away.)

I haven't been too good at the Weight Watcher thing lately. I've been dealing with some back pain issues and haven't made it to the last couple of meetings. Plus, my pal Misty who was supposed to keep me motivated has deserted me. I'm planning to get back on track and go to Monday's meeting. I don't think I've really gained in my absence, but I haven't lost either.

Brian stopped at our house on the way home from work yesterday. The lumber has been delivered, but none of it has been put to use. We're going to go look again tomorrow, and hopefully there will finally be a change. I'll post a new picture if there is.

Survivor: I can't stand Jamie anymore!! I wish Rafe and Cindy would have flipped and gotten rid of him. There's always hope for next week...

Nothin' Much

Brian's coming home today. He should be on the ground around 5:00. That is if there aren't delays in Atlanta (which is never the case). We don't really have any plans this weekend. We'll probably go tomorrow to see if there has been any progress on our house.
How about Survivor? Just when I thought it was starting to get dull, Judd opened his mouth and wouldn't shut it! Bobby Jon has lost his marbles - that is if he ever had any to begin with. And poor Brian was completely blindsided. I'm still pulling for Steph... not sure how it will all turn out.
I talked to my good friend, Kristy, last night for an hour. She's 38 weeks pregnant and growing impatient. Hopefully she'll have her new baby boy before the month is out.

Photos, TiVo, and New Words

The 3-Day pictures are now posted on the website. I'm not in any of them. I am a little disappointed that there are only 45 total. You would think with nearly 3000 people over 3 days they would have taken more. I guess my in-laws weren't in charge of the photos. If they were, there would've been 4500. Can't go visit without getting your picture "made" at least a dozen times. :o) I, on the other hand, still have an unfinished film in my camera that I started in January.
We got TiVo on Saturday. (Yes, Denise, I finally wore Brian down.) I haven't had a chance to play with it a whole lot yet. Wish it could do a few more things than it does. It thinks I'm bilingual... It recorded a Spanish soap opera that it thought I might like. Hablo Espanol un poco, nada mas. (Maybe I need to brush up on my Spanish.)
Just got back from a girls' night out with Misty. We just had dinner at Applebee's and caught up on each other's lives. We should do that more often.
Our house still looks the same as below. I went to check on it last night. I think they did run the lines to the septic though. When we were there on Sunday, there was a pile of tubing next to the foundation. Now it's gone, so I'm assuming it's in the ground. Not sure how all of that works anyway. Both of our other houses were on the city sewer line, and it really wasn't much of my concern when I still lived with my parents.
Today I decided I would like to increase my vocabulary, so I am going to try to learn a new word each day. (Yes, I already know I'm a nerd.) I will include the new word each time I post. Who knows... maybe some day one of us will be on Jeopardy and need to know what an Argus is. (I'd rather be on Wheel of Fortune, but they still haven't called!)

WE HAVE CONCRETE!!!

The concrete foundation was poured on Friday or Saturday. It should start looking like an actual house before long. Brian just left for another week of training... this time to Cincinnati. He'll be back on Friday. He's afraid he'll miss a lot of the framing. (Guess he should just stay home more often!)

Not Too Much...

Saturday we met with the security system guy. We are going to have our new living room wired for surround sound. Brian is so excited. (Men and their toys...)
Sunday we went to The Great Georgia Airshow at the Peachtree City Airport. The cloud cover was really low, but it was still a really nice airshow. Got home in time to see the Braves lose.
Monday we went to check on the house... still no concrete. Maybe later this week. Also went to Weight Watchers. I stayed exactly the same. Guess that's better than gaining.
Tuesday Brian left for Orlando. He'll be back Thursday. I watched The Biggest Loser and The Amazing Race. I really can't stand the Paolo family!

A Little Progress

We now have footer forms and plumbing. Our front yard is going to be a little more sloped than I had hoped, but as I found out last weekend, we're not in flat country anymore. I think the backyard will make up for it. And besides, Brian will be the one to mow it! :o)

I lost 3.6 pounds at Weight Watchers on Monday. I was hoping for a little more after 50 miles, but I'm still pleased. I've been horrible so far this week. When I'm tired I get lazy. I may have to use my free pass next Monday and skip the scales!

I Did It... Almost

What an experience! The Atlanta 3-Day is over.
Day One - Friday, September 30th, 2005
Opening Ceremonies were in the Northlake Mall parking lot on the northeast side of Atlanta. A somewhat emotional start to an incredible weekend. We stretched, filled up our water bottles, and began our journey. Day one would be a long one... 22.7 miles in all. We had pit stops approximately every 3 miles. Volunteer crew cheered us on at each stop along the way. At each pit stop we were able to refill our bottle, grab a snack, and visit the port-a-potties. We walked through Tucker and near Stone Mountain. We ended the day at the Southeast Athletic Complex in Lithonia. I made it all the way!! I had no blisters! I had no major aches or pains! Sure I was exhausted, but after my struggles with blisters while training, I was so thankful. When arriving at camp, I began to get a little nauseous. I assumed I was just a little overheated so I sat down in the shade with my water. I cooled off, but I still wasn't feeling any better, maybe worse. I decided to go to the medical tent to see if there was anything they could do. I learned that it was probably just stomach acid. Apparently when you are very active for a period of time, your stomach produces extra acid and doesn't stop when you do causing an upset stomach. The nurse gave me an anti-nausea pill and an antacid and sent me on my way. At the time that wasn't much comfort as I felt horrible. I called Brian sobbing and told him, "I'd have you come get me, but I don't know where I am!" He was very consoling although I'm sure he thought I was a nut, and I was feeling better when I hung up the phone. The first night continued to be an adventure. I waited over an hour in line to take a shower in a tractor trailer. Then when I finally crawled into my tent long past "lights out" I realized that it was not an 8'x8' tent as anticipated, but only a 6'x6' tent. Not quite the Hilton for this 6' tall girl!

Day Two - Saturday, October 1st, 2005
I knew the second day would be the most challenging. It was going to be the longest at 23.6 miles. The excitement from the first day had faded and the anticipation of finishing was not yet in sight. It was somewhat difficult packing our bags and taking down our tents in the dark, but we managed. I stepped in a hole walking out of camp and turned my ankle a little. It didn't hurt that much so I kept on going. I started rubbing blisters (not on my toes, but where the toes attach to the foot) in the first stretch so I stopped to doctor them at the first pit stop. We walked through downtown Stone Mountain where many friends and family members were lining the streets cheering us as we passed. It was then that the hills seemed to get longer, the sun got hotter, and the shade got scarcer. I made it to lunch, but I wasn't sure how much longer I could go. I was already sunburned from day one - sunscreen doesn't work when you're sweating so much - and the sun was merciless. I started out after lunch hoping for a shady stretch, but it wasn't to be found. At the next pit stop - mile 13.4 - I decided to call it a day and take the bus back to camp. This was a very hard decision as I really wanted to complete the entire walk. I later heard that around 1,000 walkers were bused on day two, which made me feel a little less disappointed in myself. Camp on day two was at the Georgia Perimeter College. It was nice getting back to camp early. I didn't have to wait in line for a shower, and I had time to relax and enjoy camp. I was able to get to bed on time and although I was still too long for my tent, I slept much better the second night.

Day Three - Sunday, October 2nd, 2005
We started day three inspired as it would only be a 15 mile walk to the end of our journey. My ankle was stiff, my muscles were aching, and my blisters were tender but all in all I didn't feel that bad. I realized shortly after leaving that I had somehow managed to pack my camera in my duffel bag rather than my fanny pack (easy to do in the dark), so I stopped at CVS and bought a disposable one. We walked through some nice neighborhoods including Druid Hills and then through downtown Decatur. The sun was still unrelenting, but we were blessed with more shade on this final day. We crossed the finish line in Piedmont Park where friends, family, and faster walkers cheered. I did it!! Total miles for the 3-Day were 61.3 - I completed 51.1 of those. Closing ceremonies began at 5:00 with a parade of walkers, crew, and survivors.
2,500 Walkers - 200 Survivors - 325 Volunteer Crew
6.2 Million Dollars - 1 Extraordinary Cause
Will I do it again? Too soon to say. I'm still recovering and catching up on sleep. It was definitely an experience. It had it ups and downs, and I don't just mean the hills. But it is an accomplishment that I will never forget.

2 Days and Counting

The 3-Day starts in two days! I guess I'm ready. I'm not packed, but that's the least of my concerns. I still struggled with blisters when I walked this past weekend. And we only walked 9 miles. I think I'm going to invent socks made of super adhesive moleskin! The weather looks like it is going to hold out for a wonderful weekend. Highs only in the 70's. I raised over $2500 for the walk!! That's amazing! Thanks to all of you who helped me exceed my goal!

Last night at Weight Watchers I lost the 2.2 pounds I gained last week, but that's it. I'm hoping after walking 60 miles I'll be down a few more for next week. I definitely won't be sticking to the plan though as I'll need plenty of energy to keep walking, so I'm not sure how it will all turn out.

The Amazing Race starts tonight! WooHoo! Little things excite me. :o)

Ups and Downs

I gained back 2.2 pounds this week. Ugh! I still have an overall loss of 6.6 pounds in four weeks though. That's not too bad. It's more than one pound a week, but less than two. I originally set a very attainable goal of one pound per week, so I'm still ahead of the game for now. I am going to watch The Biggest Loser tonight for some inspiration.

I'm going to a
Southern Living at Home party at Misty's house tonight. I hope I win some good door prizes! I've never been to one, but it looks like they have some pretty nice stuff.

Brian drove past our "house" on the way home from work today. Nothing new except the building permit is now posted.

Survivor & A Mouse

Yesterday at work I noticed an odd smell coming from my desk drawers. It wasn't a good smell. It was definitely a bad smell. So, I decided to try to find the cause of it. I emptied out all three drawers smelling things as I took them out. I'm sure I looked a little goofy sniffing my steel toed shoes, but since I've only worn them once or twice, they still smell quite nice. When I had all the drawers empty, the smell was still there. I had a sneaking suspicion that it was something under the desk and it wasn't going to be pleasant. As I suspected, there was a dead (and stinky) mouse caught in a trap that I didn't even know was under there. Now, I may be a farm girl and all, but my dad was the one who always took care of the rodents. I wasn't going to touch it!! So Sherry came to my rescue and disposed of the stinky little guy. I sprayed lots of air freshener, and today my cube was stink-free!

Survivor... I'm so glad to see Steph is back. I was really rooting for her in Palau. I really doubt that she'll get very far this time though. Everyone knows she's too much of a threat. I wasn't surprised to see Jim voted off. I think he would have had a tough time competing with a bum arm. I was really surprised though to see all the guys struggling so much. Eleven miles - that's nothing. I plan on doing more than that tomorrow. Course it won't be through the jungle! :o)

Stuff...

I visited my parents over the weekend and went to the big hometown festival. It's nothing spectacular, but it's my hometown. I think I've gone every year since I was born. There was the tractor rodeo that my dad heads up on Friday night, and then the parade of mostly firetrucks and tractors on Saturday. I got to play with my niece and nephews and see old friends from way back when. I had an elephant ear, pork tenderloin, and an apple dumpling. All of which are required eating when you visit the festival. I had trouble flying back on Sunday and had to wait until Monday to get back. It's great having airline privileges, but sometimes flying standby is a pain!

They have started to clear the land for our house. See below. We should be right on track to close in December or January which is what we're hoping for. I dread moving again, but it will be nice to be back in a house. Apartment life is for the birds!

Monday was weigh day at Weight Watchers. I lost 1.8 pounds!!! Even after my weekend of fairfood and not walking a lot. I thought I was doing pretty good until I watched The Biggest Loser last night. I was amazed that some of those people lost 20+ pounds in one week! I've always heard that slow weight loss is best, so I'll keep chugging along at my pace.

It doesn't look like I'm going to have houseguests this week. My inlaws live on the Carolina coast and thought they might have to head inland on account of Miss Ophelia. But I think they are going to ride it out. She doesn't seem to be too mean afterall.

Survivor starts tomorrow. Yippee!

Brian's Good Deed

Yesterday morning at work while I was on another call, I received a voice mail message. It went something like this: "Hey, it's me [Brian]. I'm getting ready to board an airplane to New Orleans. I shouldn't be too late tonight. You can try to call my cell phone if you need to reach me. Bye." Naturally I wondered what was going on, so I quickly returned the call. It seems when Brian arrived at work, there were truckloads of donations from the good people of Atlanta needing to be delivered to the hurricane ravaged coast. AirTran volunteered two of its airplanes to transport the supplies. Brian helped load the airplanes, and when they were full (the cargo hold and the seats), volunteered to fly down to unload as well. It turns out they were unable to get into the New Orleans airport, so they ended up going to Gulfport/Biloxi. After seeing all the destruction, he commented "Hugo was bad, but not this bad!" (Brian and his family endured first hand the destruction of Hugo in 1989 when they lived in Sumter, South Carolina.) He said when they flew out over the coast, the ocean just didn't look right with all the oil and debris floating in it. I'm sure there is a lot I'm leaving out that Brian could better tell you about, so I'll leave that to him. This quick trip was an experience for Brian, and I am proud of him for going.

I'm a Loser

Woo Hoo... I'm down 7 pounds from last week! I do have to confess though. At the first weigh-in, I left my shoes on and tonight I took them off. Now granted I do have large feet, but I highly doubt my shoes (they were sandals) weight 7 pounds! We don't have a meeting next Monday because of the holiday, so my next Weight Watchers update will be in two weeks.

What Was I Thinking??

I walked more than 12 miles yesterday morning with Misty, and now I wonder why I agreed to do this walk in the first place. I have to figure out a way to prevent blisters on my two littlest toes on each foot. I think I can make it through the first day without incident if I can do that. As for the next two days... who knows. I guess I'm not as young as I used to be. As Misty says, "I've got a hitch in my giddyup!" And sleeping on the ground in a tent may not make for a pleasant night's sleep. Hopefully someone will pull me out of my tent and give me a swift kick in the pants to get me going on days two and three!!

Still no progress on our house. I think we're waiting for the building permit to be approved by the county. And we all know how fast government offices are. We have been appliance shopping though. We are hoping there will be some good Labor Day sales next weekend.

Katrina... It looks like we aren't going to see too much of her nastiness here in Georgia. After she wipes New Orleans off of the map, it looks like she will continue northeast, but not this far east. Good! We had enough rain with Emily and Dennis. I think this may be the wettest summer on record for the Atlanta area.

Tomorrow is weigh-in day at Weight Watchers. I think I've done pretty good this week. The weekend wasn't so great, but I'm hoping the walking will make up for some of it. I let you know the verdict tomorrow.

Weight Watchers

I joined Weight Watchers today. Misty talked me into it. I did it a few years ago, and I know it works, but I tend to get lax. Hopefully we will keep each other motivated and on track. I will post my successes and backslides (hopefully there won't be any of those) each week. I have a long way to go to reach my ultimate goal, so any encouragement is appreciated.

Our House

Well... I technically didn't go walking today, but I did go to water aerobics at the YMCA.

Brian and I went to look through some houses under contruction at our new neighborhood to see if they had anything that we haven't thought about. This is our lot... Lot B2. It's not much now, but soon they should be clearing the trees and leveling it some. We are building a two story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. This is close to what our house will look like when it's done. Except for that little area of stucco on the upper level. It should be bricked as well.

Walking...

This morning I walked 6 and a half miles with my friend Misty. We are both in training to do the Breast Cancer 3-Day at the end of September. We are on a team which is named Zero to Sixty. It is rather confusing having two Misty's on the same team, so I am Misty Lou and she is Misty Mae. We should have walked farther today, but this Georgia heat is unbearable. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more miles in on the treadmill tomorrow. I have finally reached my minimum for donations, although you can still donate at my 3-Day site.
After lunch, Brian and I went to check on things at our new neighborhood. We are building a house in Maple Creek Plantation north of Newnan. We usually go out each weekend to see if they have started anything yet. They haven't. It will probably be another two to three weeks before they start moving dirt around.
Then for dinner we went to Little Anthony's Pizza. It's a great little pizza buffet in Newnan. Yum!

My First Post

Welcome to my blogspot. I have been reading my friend Misty's blog, and decided I would start one of my own. Not sure if I'll have too much to say, but I'll give it a try. I thought it would be a great way to keep all of our friends and family up to date on all of our goings on since we are so far away.
