but I wouldn't recommend it. Saturday was our annual visit to the vet for shots and check-ups which proved once again how completely different our cats are from each other. Victoria (Vicki) on the left in the picture is a ditz. She's so carefree and completely oblivious to the world. She's first to get her check-up. She weighs in at about 9 pounds, lets the doctor check her teeth and stomach and gets her booster shot all without even a hiss or growl. Next comes Calvin. He's always been a bit on the nervous side. He was growling a little in the waiting room at the other cats while still in his carrier. He comes out right away, and the vet tech scoops him up to take him in the back to get weighed. Almost immediately we hear an unhappy cat sound from the back so we open the door. Calvin's on the floor hissing and growling and the vet tech is looking a little uneasy. Brian's able get him on the scale where he weighs in at 18 pounds!! We go back in the room. Calvin's mad at Brian. He's mad at me. He's just plain mad! In walks the vet. Calvin wants nothing to do with any of us. The vet and vet tech are not looking like they really want to grab him, so Brian graciously volunteers to hold him down. A decision he would later regret. Did I mention that those 18 pounds are primarily muscle? Brian's got Calvin pinned on the table as best he can. The vet tech's attempting with no luck to cover his head with a towel so he couldn't see what's going on (Calvin, not Brian). And the vet's trying to get a shot in his butt. Calvin's now possessed or something and starts biting Brian's hands and arm. The vet finally gets the shot in and Brian lets go. Brian's dripping blood, but the others remain unscathed. The vet bandages Brian's war wounds and we get out of there. Fast forward to home. Calvin comes out of his carrier. He's a completely different cat. He's purring and wants to be petted and picked up. Talk about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!! I think next year we will have to give him a tranquilizer or find a vet who makes house calls.

Demon cat! I had one of those, but it escaped out the basement door and died an untimely death.
Hey Misty,
..and I thought I had "wild cats"...by that I mean my outdoor living sweeties who do not care to visit the vet either...fortunately, even tho I never know how my 3 will act because they literally are not around other "people" as they live out here on so much acreage that they don't have to...they actually behave very well at the vet so far. Will let ya know after Dec...Louie's turn for shots.
How is Brian recovering from wounds? Be careful with that cat scratch fever!!!
Hope the house is coming along....we are having way too much rain here for anything outdoors. Take Care & talk soon ok.
